The Athletic Club KC defeated the Buckhead Bowties, 8-3. Earning player of the game honors was catcher Dao-zi Dai, who was 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Athletic Club KC now sits in 4th place in the Division I at 47-38.

Dai had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Ramón Torres, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Athletic Club KC a 4-3 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Dai.

Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
