Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Calgary Lynx got the win.
Calgary Lynx starter António Rodríguez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Milton Dogfish Head, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Rodríguez, now 2-1. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Jim Atkinson earned the save, his 2nd.
In the bottom of the first, José Carlos Ramos hit a 2-run double for Calgary. The 2nd double of the season for the Calgary designated hitter put the Lynx on top, 2-0.
"We were in it," said Milton manager Ron Mathews. "We just didn't score enough runs."
The Lynx now own a record of 10-13.
