Targaryens Fall Short, 5-4, at Sunset District
|
Fog Park was the site of a competitive game between the Royse City Targaryens and Sunset District Fog.
The Fog had to overcome a fine performance from Royse City pitcher Ryan Bentley to grab a 5-4 win at Fog Park. Bentley went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Jesús Franco picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 10 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 4-1.
In the bottom of the second, Manuel Rodríguez had a big 2-run triple off Ryan Bentley. With the triple, the Sunset District left fielder put his team in front, 2-0. He was 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the contest.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Royse City manager John Williams said following the tough loss.
At 13-8, the Fog find themselves in 4th place in the Premier AAA.
