Piranhas Lose to Patriots, 3-2
|
Getting a good performance from second baseman Ki-tak Im, the Boston Patriots defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 3-2. Im went 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Patriots. Robinson Gonzáles got credit for the save for Boston. It was his 4th of the year. Boston is in second place in the Division I with a record of 48-33.
Boston took the lead in the bottom of the second when Karl Schultz stroked a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-0 in favor of Boston. For the day, Schultz went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
