Both teams had their chances, but the Glendale Herons eventually prevailed at The Igloo.
The Glendale Herons got a stellar performance from pitcher José Ortíz, who handcuffed the Billings offense en route to a 8-2 win at The Igloo. The 8th-place Herons improved to 48-54.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the third, with Glendale trailing 1-0, Jordan Hollins was at the plate when Glendale scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Herons to go in front, 2-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Hollins told the Glendale Observer. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
