Herons Lose, 2-1, at Sixshooters Stadium

The Westwood Sixshooters eeked out a 2-1 win versus the Glendale Herons at Sixshooters Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Ray Mangas, who captured player of the game honors. Mangas got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. Mangas allowed no earned runs. The Sixshooters improve their record to 47-44 with the win over Glendale.
Also producing for Westwood was right fielder Jim Schlossnagle, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Schlossnagle went 1-3 with a walk.
Schlossnagle told a Westwood Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
