Thunder Hawks Deal Nationals Painful Loss
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks faced a tough opponent in Ottawa pitcher António Fabián, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Thunder Hawks Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Fabián went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Ft. Polk South reliever Júlio Palácios was credited with the win, to go to 5-2. Rubén Villarreal took the loss for Ottawa. Ft. Polk South is 4th in the Menard's AA with a record of 48-39.

The Thunder Hawks were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Ramón Castro turned a 1-1 fastball from Rubén Villarreal into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Ft. Polk South a thrilling 4-3 win.

After the game, Ft. Polk South manager Juan Padilla applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
