Herons Squelch Springfield Offense in Shutout Win
Glendale beat Springfield at Heron Field, eking out a 3-0 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Bob McGhee, who earned player of the game honors. The Herons raised their record to 40-43.

In the bottom of the second, Ramón Hernández hit a 2-run double for Glendale. The 5th double of the season for the Glendale first baseman put the Herons on top, 2-0.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Wes Murray.
