Grasshoppers Topple Polar Bears as Mccray Shines
The San Bernardino Grasshoppers turned back the Billings Polar Bears, 6-1, at Field of the Grasshoppers. Zuberi Mccray was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Peter Hall earned the win for San Bernardino. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing no earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 7-3. The 4th-place Grasshoppers improved to 45-37.

When the Grasshoppers needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Mccray who delivered. Facing Billings pitcher Heng-zong Xie the bottom of the third with a runner on 1st, Mccray hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 3-0.
