The Billings Polar Bears eeked out a 2-1 win versus the Westwood Sixshooters at The Igloo. Nobody did more than pitcher Preston Vick, who captured player of the game honors. Vick was the winning pitcher and moves to 2-3. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Ángel Ruíz, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, designated hitter Mike Brown came through big-time for the Polar Bears. With Billings leading 1-0, he belted a solo home run.

"Runs were at a premium," said Billings manager Alfonso Rivera.

Billings's record now stands at 38-42, placing them 9th in the Menard's AA.
