Mccray Helps Grasshoppers Run Win Streak to 4
|
The San Bernardino Grasshoppers dealt the Lancaster Farmers a 8-5 loss at Field of the Grasshoppers. Zuberi Mccray was the star on offense. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The 6th-place Grasshoppers have won 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for San Bernardino, had it not been for Arnold Giroux, the 21-year old shortstop . Giroux contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning to put San Bernardino up, 2-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Mccray told the San Bernardino Observer.
