Grasshoppers Bang Out 10-6 Win Versus Atlantic City
|
With third baseman Brandon Cole leading the charge, the San Bernardino Grasshoppers defeated the Atlantic City Sonics, 10-6, at Sonics Ballpark. Cole, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AA in extra base hits with 25, was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Manny Merico, who threw 121 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 6 runs on 5 hits. With the win, the Grasshoppers have a record of 33-33.
Also having an impact was designated hitter Natale Langushi, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first for San Bernardino. For the game, Langushi was 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
