Farmers Suffer 9-1 Loss to Sixshooters
|
The Westwood Sixshooters powered past the Lancaster Farmers, 9-1, at Sixshooters Stadium. Jason Boyer went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4, to lead the charge. The Sixshooters saw their win-loss record go to 34-26. At the same time, the Farmers fall to 31-29.
When the Sixshooters needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Boyer who delivered. Facing Lancaster pitcher Rubén Madrid the bottom of the first with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Boyer hit his 4th home run of the year. It made the score 4-0.
"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Westwood Sixshooters manager William Franklin.
