San Bernardino third baseman Manuel García made his presence felt in the 6-5 Grasshoppers triumph over the Billings Polar Bears. García went 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Manny Merico picked up the win with 7 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 4-2. The Grasshoppers now have a record of 27-31.
San Bernardino grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when García hit a 2-run home run. His 4th home run put the Grasshoppers out in front, 6-5.
