Herons Fall Short at Lancaster
Lancaster overcame a superlative game from Rocky Lannan to beat Glendale, 3-1. The Glendale pitcher took player of the game honors in a losing cause. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball. Kyle Lucas picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-2. Guang Wen was tagged with the loss. António Torrez earned the save, his 10th.

Lancaster took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, António Mendoza stroked a 2-run triple to make it 3-1, Farmers.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Lancaster Farmers manager Jack Barnes.

The Farmers bumped their record to 20-20 with this latest triumph.
