Tight Tilt Goes to Piranhas, 3-1
|
The Panama City Piranhas racked up a win at The Tank, bumping off the Atlanta Smoke, 3-1. Wayne Craig, who started for Panama City, pitched effectively for his team. Earning his 15th save of the year was Juan Pérez. The Piranhas, at 29-44, sit in 8th place in the Division I.
In the bottom of the second, Brad Perry hit a run-scoring double for Panama City. The 8th double of the season for the Panama City first baseman put the Piranhas on top, 1-0.
In postgame comments to the Panama City Citizen, Craig said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
