Nationals Take 12-2 Pounding
|
Benefiting from Albert Díaz's productive game, the Lancaster Farmers downed the Ottawa Nationals, 12-2. Díaz was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Farmers. Lancaster reliever Will Clark picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jorge Peralta absorbed the loss. The Farmers move to 16-17 with the win, while the Nationals drop to 15-18.
In the bottom of the second, António Jiménez hit a 2-run double for Lancaster. The 6th double of the season for the Lancaster third baseman put the Farmers on top, 2-0.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jack Barnes said.
