Polar Bears Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Atlantic City

Nobuhiko Nakayama did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Atlantic City Sonics from losing, 8-3, to the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. Nakayama went 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. Billings reliever Dylan Silva was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Jim Unknown took the loss. Their 17-16 record puts the Polar Bears 6th in the Menard's AA.
A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Polar Bears sent teenager Logan Namajunas to the plate against Sonics hurler Jim Unknown. With runners on 1st and 3rd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a double off a 1-0 fastball to score 2.
"We take it day by day here," said Namajunas, "and today was a good one for us."
