The Farmers Field faithful were treated to an exciting walk-off win.
Getting an impressive start from Paco Peña, Lancaster beat Springfield by the score of 2-1. The 7th-place Shooters have dropped 4 straight games.
Ramón Gómez was a key contributor to the win for the Farmers. In the bottom of the ninth with one out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to left. He was 1 for 4.
After the game, Lancaster manager Jack Barnes applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
