The Billings Polar Bears trumped the Battle Ground Aeros, 5-1, at Battle Ground Stadium. Billings first baseman Carlos Schultz was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Billings reliever Ángel Ruíz picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ryan McCall absorbed the loss. Santiago Carrión finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Lúcio Marín broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Polar Bears in front, 2-1. For the game, Marín drove in one run.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Billings manager Alfonso Rivera.
The 6th-place Aeros have lost 5 consecutive games.
