Sixshooters Need Extra Frames to Get Past Farmers
The Westwood Sixshooters outlasted the Lancaster Farmers in an extra-inning thriller.

With designated hitter Chia-ch'ing Dodman leading the charge, the Westwood Sixshooters defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 6-4, at Farmers Field. Dodman, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in doubles with 6, went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Westwood reliever Alfredo Hernández picked up the win to move to 2-2. Kyle Lucas suffered the loss.

The most important at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With two out, Kyle Lucas threw a 1-0 sinker to Dodman, which he hit to center for a run-scoring single. It put Westwood in front, 5-4.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant William Franklin, the Westwood manager.

The Farmers drop to 9-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2025 season.
