Farmers Deal Herons 14-6 Setback
|
A 5-RBI performance from shortstop Albert Díaz, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AA in hits with 24, led the Lancaster Farmers to a 14-6 win over the Glendale Herons. The Herons fall to 6-11 and continue their wobbly start to the 2025 season.
Díaz came through with some timely hitting for Lancaster. With the score 2-0 in the top of the second and two down, Díaz hit a full count splitter for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season -- and a big reason the Farmers managed to win.
In postgame comments to the Lancaster Herald, Díaz said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
