The Glendale Herons topped the Richland Rails by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Frank Grimes. Grimes went 3-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Herons. José Peña picked up the save for Glendale, his 1st of the year. The Richland Rails, now 10-5, continue their poor start.

Glendale took the lead in the bottom of the seventh when Grimes hit a run-scoring double. His 5th double made the score 4-3, Glendale.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Grimes. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
