The Lancaster Farmers scored a 4-3 win versus the Billings Polar Bears at Farmers Field. Lancaster pitcher Rubén Madrid nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The winning pitcher was Madrid, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. The save went to António Torrez, his 4th this season.
Janghyun Sam contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that propelled Lancaster to the win.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Madrid.
The Polar Bears fall to 5-7 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2025 season.
