Atlantic City beat Richland at Rails Ballpark, eking out a 7-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Jim Unknown, who earned player of the game honors. Losses have been few and far between for the Rails, who are now 7-3.

Julián García was a key contributor to the win for the Sonics. In the top of the first with two out, the light-hitting designated hitter stroked a single to center. He went 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

García attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
