|
Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Capital District Red Knights and the Philadelphia 1776 BC.
The Capital District Red Knights picked up a win at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum, knocking off the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 4-3. On the mound for Capital District was left-hander Luis Peña, who played a pivotal role in the win. Capital District reliever Miguel Toro got the win, raising his record to 2-4. Ramiro Germán was tagged with the loss.
Barry Dempsey's hit in the top of the 11th was a game-changer. With no one out, he rapped a fastball from Ramiro Germán for a 2-run home run. It put Capital District in front, 4-2.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Don Lookingbill, the Capital District skipper. "This one tested us."
The 'W' lifts Capital District's record to 46-62.
