Whalers Come Back Late to Clip Flamingos
|
Hartford Whalers starter Christian Patrick was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Las Vegas Flamingos, 4-2. Andrew Webster earned his 5th save in 9 chances. Their 50-50 record puts the Whalers 7th in the Division III.
Tom Benjamin had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the eighth for the Whalers. Coming up with the bases loaded and Hartford trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Patrick. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
