Adams goes 3-for-4 as Flamingos Squeeze Past Thunder Bay

The Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 6-1. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Victor Adams, who was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. David Collingwood picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 5-8. Seung-yeop Kim got the save, his 2nd in 4 chances.
Adams came through with some timely hitting for Las Vegas. With the score 1-0 in the top of the sixth and one down, Adams hit a 1-1 cutter for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Flamingos managed to win.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban. "Our pregame was pretty good."
Las Vegas is in second place in the Division III with a record of 52-42.
