Northern Lions BC Deal Nuggets 7-4 Setback
The Rocky Mountain Nuggets got a superb performance from pitcher Kaluka Wene. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Thunder Bay. The Northern Lions BC won the game, 7-4. In spite of the loss, Wene was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters . Tyler MacHugh got credit for the win, improving to 10-5. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 6.1 innings. Brandon Bannatyne closed it out for his 10th save.

In the top of the third, Carlos Rodríguez hit a 3-run home run for Thunder Bay. The 9th home run of the season for the Thunder Bay third baseman put the Northern Lions BC on top, 4-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Rodríguez told the Thunder Bay Herald. "It's as simple as that."

Thunder Bay is now riding a 3-game win streak.
