Javier Sánchez had a good game, but he could not keep the Rocky Mountain Nuggets from falling, 6-5, to the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Nuggets Park. The Rocky Mountain first baseman went 2 for 6 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 in the loss. Thunder Bay is second in the Division III with a record of 47-38.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh. That's when Carlos Padilla, who is tied for 4th in the 3L in triples with 4, drew a walk. The Northern Lions BC went on to win.
