Dodgers Slip Past Capital District, 7-5
|
Brooklyn Dodgers starter John Kaufman was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Capital District Red Knights, 7-5. Brooklyn reliever John Bailey was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was Luis Hernández. Folkert van Huizen recorded his 3rd save for Brooklyn.
Curt Kenney provided some late-game heroics for Brooklyn. In the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a bases-clearing double. It came on a 1-1 fastball from José Trujillo and propelled Brooklyn to a 5-2 lead.
"Good win for us," said Kenney. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
The Dodgers bumped their record to 44-40 with this latest triumph.
