Hargrove Goes Off, But Northern Lions BC Win
Despite a great performance by Seattle left fielder Tim Hargrove, the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Aviators by the score of 4-2 at Boeing Dome. Hargrove went 4-4 with 2 home runs and a double. Thunder Bay reliever Ted Locke was the winner. His record is now 2-2. Ken Hinkle took the loss. Brandon Bannatyne converted his 7th save in 8 tries.

Arnold Griffith had the most critical at-bat for Thunder Bay, coming in the top of the ninth inning with two out and runners on 1st and 3rd. Griffith hit a 1-2 curveball from Ken Hinkle for a run-scoring single. It put Thunder Bay in front, 3-2.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Seattle manager Mau Delgado.

Thunder Bay is in third place in the Division III with a record of 45-37.
