Great Day for Callison in Retrievers Win
Brett Callison added some punch to the Northern Virginia offense, helping them outmuscle the Boston Patriots, 9-7. In the game, Callison, the 16 overall pick in the 2021 draft, was 3-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 4 runs. The Retrievers go to 25-41, putting them 8th in the Division I.

Roberto Sánchez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Northern Virginia get the win.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager David Lenlister.
