Capital District and Hartford duked it out at Ballpark of Hartford and the Red Knights came out victorious.

Capital District third baseman Danilo Mosca was instrumental in his team's 8-3 win over the Hartford Whalers. Mosca, who is tied for 7th in the 3L in triples with 3, went 2-3 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Red Knights. The winner was Terry King, who threw 99 pitches over 5.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 4 hits.

Mosca had a game-changing single in the top of the third. On a 1-0 fastball from Christian Patrick, he banged a 2-run single to right, giving the Red Knights a 2-0 lead. It was the 75th hit of the year for Mosca.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Mosca.

Capital District, at 31-45, occupies 11th place in the Division III.
