Dodgers Fall Short, 5-1, at Seattle
The exploits of designated hitter Ethan Stanford helped the Seattle Aviators defeat the Brooklyn Dodgers, 5-1. Stanford went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Héctor Alarcon, credited with the win, is now 4-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. Seattle is now 44-28, 3 games up in the Division III.

Stanford had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the fifth. On a 1-1 slider from Jimmy Whittier, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Aviators a 3-1 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Stanford.

"Ethan is still learning," said Seattle Aviators manager Mau Delgado. "The sky's the limit for him."
