Pitcher Roger Shaw was sensational for the Kingston Township Legion in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Shaw received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Shaw got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. Shaw allowed 1 earned run. Toshiro Saikawa got the save, the 14th for him this season.

Forrest McCooke was a key contributor to the win for the Legion. In the bottom of the fourth with one out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to right. He went 1-4 with a double.

McCooke attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
