Patriots Fall Short, 7-4, at Northern Virginia
|
Northern Virginia starter Aurelio López pitched effectively against the Boston Patriots at Ballpark of Northern Virginia. The right-hander led his team to a 7-4 win. The Retrievers are now 23-41, while the Patriots fall to 38-26.
Also producing for Northern Virginia was shortstop Joaquín Parra, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Parra was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"We'll enjoy this win," said López. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
