Legion Lose to Nuggets, 9-5

Cloverdale Legion Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Rocky Mountain Nuggets and the Kingston Township Legion.
A 3-RBI performance from Mark Melton, who is tied for 7th in the 3L in triples with 2, helped the Rocky Mountain Nuggets beat the Kingston Township Legion, 9-5. Ricardo Campos got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Also producing for Rocky Mountain was catcher Gary Chalmers, who stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the first. For the game, Chalmers was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Melton told the Rocky Mountain News.
The Nuggets go to 30-28, putting them 5th in the Division III.
