Chip Bishop Goes Distance in Win
|
Pitcher Chip Bishop was sensational for the Seattle Aviators in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Las Vegas Flamingos. Bishop received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. The Flamingos, now 27-18, have lost 5 straight.
Bishop was effective for Seattle, seldom allowing the Flamingos to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 107 pitches over 9 innings. He limited Las Vegas to just 1 run on 4 hits.
"I expect to pitch a complete game every time out," said Bishop.
