Victory Pushes Legion Record to 22-20
|
Kingston Township beat Las Vegas at The Strip, eking out a 4-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher José Zavala, who earned player of the game honors. In 7.2 innings, Zavala surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Yosuke Takahashi nailed down his 3rd save.
Also making an impact was center fielder Clay Rush, who drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth for Kingston Township. For the game, Rush was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"Both teams played hard," said Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray.
The Legion improve their record to 22-20 with the win over Las Vegas.
