Hawks Take Nail-Biter Over Aviators
The Seattle Aviators got a sterling performance from catcher Bobby Christopher, but the Hawks still prevailed, 4-3. Christopher was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Hawks sit in last place in the Division III with a record of 14-28.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th. That's when Chicago catcher Iván Pérez, facing Ken Hinkle, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Hawks the 4-3 win.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Pérez.
