The Chicago Hawks beat the Capital District Red Knights, 6-5, at Hawks Ballpark. The Hawks got a fine performance from shortstop Evan Adams, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Chicago currently is in last place in the Division III at 10-27.

With Chicago leading 4-0 in the bottom of the second, Adams came up to bat against Capital District pitcher Leroy Moody. Adams hit a cutter to right-center for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Hawks on top, 6-0.

"We did enough to win," said Adams.
