Rocks Rally For Late Win Over Lynx
|
The Calgary Lynx got a superb performance from pitcher António Rodríguez, but the Rocks still won the game, 4-2. Rodríguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win was credited to Orlando Martínez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jim Atkinson took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Calgary Lynx so far this season. Their record drops to 6-2.
Sang-yeon Kim had the most critical at-bat for Plymouth, coming in the top of the ninth inning with one out and runners on 1st and 3rd. Kim hit a first pitch fastball from Jim Atkinson for a 3-run home run. It put Plymouth in front, 4-2.
"We put together a nice win," Kim said.
