Richardson City Thundercats starter Alec Pittman turned in an exceptional performance against the Panama City Piranhas at The Tank, resulting in a Richardson City win, 6-1. Pittman got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 7.2 innings. Pittman allowed 1 earned run. With the loss, Panama City drops to 1-5.
The Thundercats got a big at-bat from Nate Cates. For the game, Cates was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Richardson City a 2-0 lead.
