Lynx Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Calgary Lynx and the Plymouth Rocks, pitcher Luis Rodríguez was the difference-maker. The Calgary right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. The Calgary Lynx keep rolling, raising their record to 6-1.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th. That's when Calgary center fielder Dusty Childress, facing Lúcio Benítez, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Lynx the 3-2 win.
Childress said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
