Late Rally by BC Secures Win
|
The Houston BC eeked out a 4-3 win versus the Naperville Battlekings at Constellation Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Kyle Boddy, who captured player of the game honors. Houston reliever Colm Soto got the win, raising his record to 7-2. Morgan MacDonald was tagged with the loss. Naperville, at 33-69, has lost 6 straight.
Raúl Trevino contributed an important at-bat in the top of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat that helped send Houston to the win.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Trevino told the Houston Gazette.
