Walk-Off Victory for Drummers Takes Record to 44-53
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Drummers Ballpark.
The Tortolita Drummers topped the Gryfindor Braves, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. The player of the game was Tortolita pitcher and Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic native Francisco López. Tortolita is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Tortolita won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. That's when catcher Eric Randolph hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Drummers fans to their feet.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Gryfindor manager Jorge Garza.
