BC Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Tortolita pitcher Gustavo Pérez gave the BC all they could handle, but in the end, Houston left Drummers Ballpark with a 4-3 win. Pérez allowed 3 earned runs on 8 hits over 7.1 innings. Picking up the save was Katsuyoshi Takuda, his 13th. The BC, now 46-43, have won 4 in a row.
Alfredo Mojica contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With a runner on 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Houston get the win.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Yoshifumi Kamuta, the Houston manager.
