Athletic Club KC Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
Panama City left-hander Wayne Craig made an effective start against the Athletic Club KC at The Tank, leading his team to a 3-0 win. Craig picked up the win for Panama City, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-5. Picking up the save was Juan Pérez, his 12th.
Sergio Muńóz took Vincent Hall deep with two out in the bottom of the second. On a 2-0 fastball, Muńóz drilled a 2-run home run to right-center. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put Panama City on top, 2-0.
"We came out with the short end of the stick," said Athletic Club KC skipper Andy Mayfield.
With the victory, the Piranhas record now stands at 24-35.
