Fighting Dachsunds Win at Pure Michigan, 5-3
|
Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds starter Bob Baker was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Pure Michigan Great Lakers, 5-3. Artie Chávez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Fernando González was tagged with the loss. The save went to Bill Schneider, his 14th this season.
Ellenburg took the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 1st, Meka Knight stroked a 2-run home run to make it 3-1, Fighting Dachsunds.
Knight called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
